Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory won the last time they faced University and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory Fightin' Irish were the clear victor by a 17-1 margin over the University Red Devils. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Fightin' Irish.

Adriana Giomi was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing Two bases. while going 3-for-3. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory let Nicole Abunda and Wanda Wilson run wild. Abunda went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Wilson got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Abunda also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Sydney Endo was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .848. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory's record now sits at 3-1. As for University, their loss was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-7.
