Football Recap: Cypress Lake Panthers vs. Mariner Tritons
Cypress Lake won the last time they faced Mariner and Nolan McKinnon did his part to make sure it happened again. The Panthers walked away with a 44-34 victory over the Tritons on Thursday thanks in part to McKinnon, who picked up 89 receiving yards and one TD. He showed off some serious burst, connecting on a big catch for 64 yards.
Mariner's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Owen O'Leary, who threw for 245 yards and three touchdowns. 82 of those passing yards were hauled in by Steven Leon Carter Jr., who also brought in a receiving touchdown.
