Ferndale lost to Mount Vernon back in January of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Ferndale Golden Eagles sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 54-52 win over the Mount Vernon Bulldogs. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Golden Eagles.

Ferndale now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Mount Vernon, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7.

Ferndale will head out to square off against Anacortes at 7:15 p.m. on Saturday. Ferndale has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Mount Vernon, they will host Squalicum at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
