Basketball Recap: Hickory Ridge Ragin' Bulls vs. Huss Huskies
Hickory Ridge lost against Huss back in December of 2019 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Hickory Ridge Ragin' Bulls fell 79-72 to the Huss Huskies. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Saturday (62), the Ragin' Bulls still had to take the loss.
Huss found their leader in freshman Jaleel Smith, who went 11 of 16 on his way to 32 points. Smith is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Zamarius 'Z-Man' Gladden was another key player, going 7 for 10 on his way to 16 points in addition to five assists and five boards.
This is the second loss in a row for Hickory Ridge and nudges their season record down to 5-7. As for Huss, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hickory Ridge will host A.L. Brown at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Huss, they will look to defend their home court on January 7, 2025 against Crest at 7:30 p.m.
