Softball Recap: Chino Hills Extends Winning Streak to Six

Chino Hills waltzed into their game on Tuesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They blew past the Rancho Cucamonga Cougars 12-3. The Huskies might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by six runs or more this season.

Nadia Juarez looked comfortable as she pitched four innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Chino Hills got a massive performance out of Kyler Del Duca, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was Brett Lambrecht, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one run.

Chino Hills kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in six consecutive contests.

Chino Hills' win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-8. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Rancho Cucamonga, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-14.

Looking ahead, Chino Hills will challenge Upland at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Huskies 3.9, the Highlanders/Scots 3.9) so any runs scored will be well earned. Rancho Cucamonga does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
