The Lewis County Minutemen have the luxury  of staying home for another  game and will welcome the Fairmont Senior Polar Bears at 7:30  p.m. After  the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents,  one won't be so lucky on Thursday.
 Last Tuesday, Lewis County made easy work of Tyler  and carried off  a  5-2 victory. The Minutemen might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by three  goals or more this season.
 They hit Tyler with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from 
 Erin Flanigan (2), 
 Bertha Benedum, and 
 McKenzie Wilson.
 Meanwhile, Fairmont Senior can finally bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game  on Tuesday. They never let Liberty onto the board and left with  a   10-0  win. The Polar Bears' offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last seven games.
 Lewis County's victory was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 6-4. As for Fairmont Senior, their  win (their first of the  season) made their record 1-6-1.
 Lewis County might still be hurting after the  3-0 defeat they got from Fairmont Senior  when the teams last played  back in September of 2023.
