Basketball Recap: Eight Straight Road Wins for Guardian Angels Central Catholic

It was a Battle of the Birds when Guardian Angels Central Catholic duked it out with O'Neill on Monday. The Guardian Angels Central Catholic Bluejays walked away with a 65-53 win over the O'Neill Eagles. Given the Bluejays' advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked sixth, while the Eagles are ranked 45th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

O'Neill's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mariah Kallhoff, who went 5 of 10 on her way to 12 points and six boards. Another player making a difference was Ashley Sidak, who went 5 for 9 to rack up 14 points.
