Basketball Recap: St. Joseph Takes a Loss

St. Joseph was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were dealt a 73-39 loss at the hands of the Draper APA Eagles. The Jayhawks were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-18.

Draper APA found their leader in sophomore Urban Baldwin, who went 8 of 15 en route to 23 points in addition to eight steals and five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Baldwin has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Lucian Greenwell, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 14 boards.

St. Joseph's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Draper APA, their win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Joseph will welcome American Leadership Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. American Leadership Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 68.7 points per game this season. As for Draper APA, they will host Maeser Prep Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Draper APA also hasn't been messing around on offense: they've averaged 62.7 points per game.
