Basketball Recap: Desert Hills' Run of Four Straight Victories Now Over

After a string of four wins, Desert Hills's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. Their2024 ended with a 73-55 defeat against the Riverton Silverwolves.

Despite the loss, Desert Hills still got an impressive performance from Ben Chase, who went 5 of 11 en route to 10 points and eight rebounds. The dominant performance gave Chase a new career-high in rebounds. Another player making a difference was Mason Rasmussen, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 11 points and six rebounds.

It was another big night for Blake Robbins, who went 7 of 13 on his way to 19 points in addition to eight boards and three steals for Riverton. The team also got some help courtesy of Evan Berrett, who posted ten points and eight assists.

Desert Hills' loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Riverton, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-5 record this season.

Desert Hills wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 65-35 win against Elko on the 31st. As for Riverton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 74-63 victory against Cyprus on the 31st.
