Powhatan won the last time they faced L.C. Bird and things went their way on Friday too. The Indians blew past the Skyhawks 16-1. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won eight matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

Powhatan is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for L.C. Bird, they dropped their record down to 4-14 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Powhatan will head out to square off against Clover Hill at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Indians will need to watch out since the Cavaliers have now posted at least ten runs in their last four games. As for L.C. Bird, they will host Amelia County at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
