Soccer Recap: Antioch Comes Up Short

Antioch was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Belvidere North Blue Thunder. That's two games in a row now that Antioch have lost by exactly two goals.

Antioch's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Belvidere North, their victory bumped their record up to 6-0-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Antioch will challenge McHenry at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. McHenry's last four contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Belvidere North, they are taking a road trip to take on Crystal Lake Central at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Crystal Lake Central will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Belvidere North surely won't give up without a fight.
