Softball Recap: Berry Victorious

Fans were treated to a battle of the Wildcats on Saturday. Berry narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Oakman 4-3.

Berry is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games. Oakman dropped their record down to 8-8 with the loss, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Berry has already played their next match, a 4-2 defeat against Fayette County on the 8th. As for Oakman, they will head out on the road to challenge Oak Grove at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The last four games Oakman has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
