Basketball Game Preview: Rosemont Wolverines vs. Argonaut Mustangs

The Rosemont Wolverines are taking a road trip to challenge the Argonaut Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Last Friday, Rosemont ended up a good deal behind Liberty Ranch and lost 63-46. The Wolverines have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Argonaut waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They took down the Warriors 71-52. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 416th, while the Warriors are ranked 1356th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Argonaut's win was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-4. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.0 points per game. As for Rosemont, they now have a losing record at 8-9.

Rosemont ended up a good deal behind Argonaut in their previous matchup back in December of 2019, losing 70-54. Can Rosemont avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
