Volleyball Recap: Rio Hondo Prep Takes a Loss

The Rio Hondo Prep Kares didn't have quite enough to beat the Rim of the World Fighting Scots on Monday and fell 3-2.

Rio Hondo Prep took Rim of the World into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking nine-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-23, 19-25, 23-25, 15-6.

Rio Hondo Prep dropped their record down to 0-2 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Rim of the World, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Looking ahead, Rio Hondo Prep will look to takes advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they takes on Duarte at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Rim of the World, they have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Excelsior Charter on the 12th.
