Independent is a perfect 10-0 against Chaparral since February of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Independent Panthers will be playing at home against the Chaparral Roadrunners. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Independent lost 48-26 to Garden Plain on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 255th, while the Owls are ranked 109th).

Meanwhile, Chaparral was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 39-27 hit to the loss column at the hands of Conway Springs.

Independent dropped their record down to 2-11-1 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Chaparral, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9-1.

Everything came up roses for Independent against Chaparral when the teams last played back in February of 2024, as the squad secured a 72-37 win. Will Independent repeat their success, or does Chaparral have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
