Softball Recap: Hot Springs Comes Up Short

Hot Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 22-4 to the Tularosa Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-2 on Tuesday.

Jewelysa Requejo made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple was her first of the season.

Hot Springs' loss dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Tularosa, they pushed their record up to 15-7 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Wildcats beat Hot Springs by a score of 22-0 later that day.
