Soccer Game Preview: Hickory Christian Academy vs. Carolina Day

The Hickory Christian Academy Knights will head out to square off against the Carolina Day Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Hickory Christian Academy fell victim to Alexander Central and their airtight defense on Monday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Carolina Day waltzed into their game on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victor by a 4-1 margin over the Warriors. Considering the Wildcats have won three matches by more than two goals this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Veritas Christian Academy with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from VirginiaMay Taylor (2), Lylah Posnock, and Isabella Stafford.

Carolina Day now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Hickory Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Hickory Christian Academy skirted past Carolina Day 2-1 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hickory Christian Academy since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
