Basketball Recap: Rossford Comes Up Short

Rossford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were outmatched by the Eastwood Eagles and fell 66-34. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 53-45 back in December of 2024.

Rossford's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Eastwood, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-5.

Rossford and Eastwood could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. Rossford will face off against Wauseon at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday down 371 places (731 vs. 360). Meanwhile, Eastwood (ranked 399th) will meet Liberty-Benton (ranked 69th) at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
