Softball Game Preview: Falkner Eagles vs. Walnut Wildcats

Falkner is 0-10 against Walnut since February of 2017 but things could change on Saturday. Falkner will be taking part in a tournament against Walnut at 11:30 a.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Falkner is headed into Saturday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Friday. They took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Pine Grove.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Walnut duked it out with Ripley on Friday. Walnut might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 8-2 to Ripley, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Wildcats just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Walnut saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addison Hicks, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that Hicks hit this season.

Falkner's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Walnut, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.
