The Hollister Haybalers will face off against the Salinas Cowboys at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Hollister 3.6, Salinas 2.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
On Monday, Hollister earned a 6-1 win over Palma.
Eliana Hatchett spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on seven hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, Hollister got a massive performance out of Grace Peffley, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases and two runs. Those four hits gave Peffley a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Galindo, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run and two RBI.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Hollister kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Palma only managed seven hits.
Meanwhile, Salinas won against Palma on Wednesday with ten runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Cowboys didn't even let Everett Alvarez on the board, marking the Cowboys' second-straight 10-0 shutout. Considering the Cowboys have won seven contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Abi Jones was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 12 over six innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Jaslyne Coronado was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with two doubles, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Gigi Rossi, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double.
Salinas has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Hollister, their win bumped their record up to 13-9.
