Basketball Recap: Logan Sets Scoring Season-High Against Grady

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Logan). They breezed by the Grady Bronchos to the tune of 71-23 on Thursday. The Longhorns have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 20 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Desta Rose, who went 7 of 13 en route to 18 points in addition to six boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Reese Hastie, who went 5 for 7 on her way to 13 points.

Logan was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

The victory snapped Logan's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 11-10 record. As for Grady, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-11.

When Logan and Grady next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Logan will try to stop Melrose's 14-game winning streak when the meet at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Grady will face off against Fort Sumner/House and their three-game winning streak at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
