Basketball Game Preview: Fort Bend Christian Academy Eagles vs. Incarnate Word Academy Falcons

Fort Bend Christian Academy and Incarnate Word Academy are an even 5-5 against one another since November of 2014, but not for long. It'll be Battle of the Birds when the Fort Bend Christian Academy Eagles face off against the Incarnate Word Academy Falcons at 1:30 p.m. on Friday.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 60-31, which was the final score in Fort Bend Christian Academy's tilt against Foster on Tuesday. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Incarnate Word Academy won against Northland Christian on Monday with 44 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. Incarnate Word Academy simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat O'Connell 44-17. That 27 point margin sets a new team best for the Falcons this season.

The win (which was Incarnate Word Academy's third in a row) raised their record to 5-5. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.7 points per game. As for Fort Bend Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-8.

Fort Bend Christian Academy beat Incarnate Word Academy 34-23 when the teams last played two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for Fort Bend Christian Academy since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
