Softball Recap: Danville Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Danville and Lebanon squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Danville had to settle for second. They fell 4-1 to the Tigers. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Warriors couldn't push the score so high this time.

Autumn Muncy spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on nine hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Danville saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Molly Anderson, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Danville's loss dropped their record down to 16-10. As for Lebanon, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-10 record this season.

As of now, neither Danville nor Lebanon have any future games scheduled.
