After a string of seven wins, North Monterey County's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rancho San Juan Trailblazers. The Condors were not able to make up for their defeat to the Trailblazers from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

North Monterey County was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Rancho San Juan work for it, especially in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 23-25, 26-24, 25-17.

North Monterey County's loss dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Rancho San Juan, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-4.

Coming up, North Monterey County will take on Pacific Collegiate at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The last three games the Pumas have played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Rancho San Juan, they will face off against Santa Teresa at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday.
