Volleyball Recap: Sydney Moore's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Bandera over Jourdanton

Bandera suffered their biggest defeat since August 19th on Tuesday. They came up short against the Jourdanton Indians/Squaws, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the BULLDOGS of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-18, 25-13.

Bandera lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Sydney Moore, who had 12 kills and three blocks. She is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in each of the last 16 games she's played. Another player making a difference was Kyra Blake, who had 14 assists and five digs.

Bandera now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Jourdanton, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bandera will head out to take on Southwest Legacy at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday. After both having extra time off, Jourdanton and D'Hanis will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
