Community School of Davidson faced Perquimans in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Spartans put the hurt on the Pirates with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win was familiar territory for the Spartans, who have now won five matches in a row.

Brielle Kinsey paced Community School of Davidson's offense, picking up 12 kills. Kinsey got some help from Lila English and her 30 assists. Finally, Rory Boyle kept Community School of Davidson's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Community School of Davidson's victory bumped their record up to 28-5. As for Perquimans, they moved to 28-4 with that defeat, which also ended their 13-match winning streak.

As of now, neither Community School of Davidson nor the Pirates have any future games scheduled.
