Hinsdale Central had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They put the hurt on the Downers Grove North Trojans with a sharp 4-0 victory on Friday. The result was nothing new for Hinsdale Central, who have now won eight games by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Downers Grove North with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Caitlin Doherty (2), Charlotte Peterson, and Peyton Rohn.

Hinsdale Central has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 40 goals over those 13 contests. As for Downers Grove North, they dropped their record down to 9-8-4 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
