Baseball Recap: Desert Edge Falls to West Point in First Game of Season

Desert Edge had to start their season on the road on Wednesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They lost 11-1 to the West Point Dragons.

Desert Edge got a good showing from Devin Martinez, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, Rene Ruiz was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run.

Looking ahead, Desert Edge will challenge Centennial at 3:45 p.m. on March 6th. As for West Point, they will face off against Mountain Ridge at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
