Basketball Recap: Walsh Jesuit Warriors vs. Louisville Leopards

Walsh Jesuit was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 79-42 loss at the hands of the Louisville Leopards. The Warriors lost against the Leopards in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 56-44 score last time.

Louisville was led to victory by Beau Siegfried and Brayden Gross. Siegfried went 7 of 13 en route to 21 points along with six assists and four steals, while Gross went 8 for 13 on his way to 19 points in addition to eight rebounds and six assists. That's the most assists Gross has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Andrejcik, who posted 12 points.

Walsh Jesuit's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Louisville, they pushed their record up to 2-0 with the win, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season.

Walsh Jesuit didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 69-52 loss against Gilmour Academy on the 10th.
