Basketball Recap: Cuba/Spoon River Valley Takes a Loss

After flying high against Knoxville last Saturday, Cuba/Spoon River Valley came back down to earth. The Cuba/Spoon River Valley Wildcats took a 45-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Illini Bluffs Tigers on Tuesday. The Wildcats have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Cuba/Spoon River Valley now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Illini Bluffs, their victory was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cuba/Spoon River Valley will head out to challenge West Prairie at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Illini Bluffs, they will face off against Princeville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
