Preview: Frisco Raccoons vs. Turner Lions

Frisco is 3-0 against Turner since November of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Frisco Raccoons' road trip will continue as they head out to face the Turner Lions at 7:15 p.m. on December 19th. One thing working in Frisco's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last seven games.

Frisco pushed their score all the way to 55 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 66-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of Centennial. Frisco has struggled against Centennial recently, as their game on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Turner waltzed into their game Tuesday with five straight wins but they left with six. They put the hurt on Diamond Hill-Jarvis with a sharp 53-32 win. The result was nothing new for Turner, who have now won six matchups by 21 points or more so far this season.

Turner's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Sahil Anand, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds, and Rodney Gray, who scored 15 points along with six assists and five rebounds. Anand continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Marcos Espinoza, who scored nine points.

Frisco's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Turner, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-2 record this season.

Frisco took their victory against Turner in their previous meeting back in January by a conclusive 71-47. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Turner's Javin Johnson, who scored 22 points. Now that he won't be playing on Tuesday, will it be that much easier for Frisco to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
