Valley had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 48 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 77-23 win over River City Jaguars. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 154th in Kentucky, while River City Jaguars are ranked 464th in Indiana), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Valley pushed their record up to 23-9 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 85.0 points over those games. As for River City Jaguars, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Looking ahead, Valley won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Southern at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for River City Jaguars, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on LKY at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. LKY knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine contests -- so hopefully River City Jaguars likes a good challenge.
