Basketball Recap: Holly Grove Christian Takes a Loss

Holly Grove Christian played a tough match on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by the Calvary Christian Academy LIONS 67-33. The Eagles have struggled against the LIONS recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Holly Grove Christian's loss came despite strong showings from Jackson Ellis and Andrew Linton. Ellis dropped a double-double with 17 points and ten rebounds, while Linton posted 11 points and eight boards. Ellis continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

Sean Sensenig (HS) went supernova for Calvary Christian Academy, going 7-for-16 to rack up 18 points along with eight assists and five boards. Another player making a difference was Kyle Parks, who went 5-for-9 en route to 12 points and six rebounds.

Holly Grove Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Calvary Christian Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season.

As of now, neither Holly Grove Christian nor Calvary Christian Academy have any future games scheduled.
