Carson Arone posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He rushed for 178 yards and three scores on only nine carries, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He is becoming a predictor of Homer-Center's success: when he posts at least 80 rushing yards the team is undefeated (and 1-2 when he doesn't).

Looking ahead, Arone and Homer-Center are taking a road trip to take on West Shamokin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Wolves thanks in part to Arone: he rushed for 138 yards and one touchdown while picking up 8.6 yards per carry, and also threw for 178 yards and a pair of TDs.
