Soccer Recap: Pinecrest Academy Extends Winning Streak to Seven

The matchup between Pinecrest Academy and North Forsyth on Tuesday hardly resembled the 1-1 effort from their previous meeting. The Pinecrest Academy Paladins blew past the North Forsyth Raiders 8-1. The result was nothing new for the Paladins, who have now won five matches by six goals or more so far this season.

Their offense was hitting North Forsyth from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Anna Broderson led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by herself.

The win keeps them at an undefeated 7-0. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 50 goals over those seven contests. As for North Forsyth, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.

Pinecrest Academy has already played their next matchup, an 8-5 victory against Fideles Christian on the 12th. North Forsyth will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Wesleyan at 6:00 p.m. on March 21st.
