Softball Recap: Prescott Takes a Loss

Prescott managed to slip by Flagstaff the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Badgers lost 11-2 to the Eagles on Tuesday. Having soared to a lofty 18 runs in the game before, the Badgers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Prescott saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mariah Smolnikar, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Prescott's loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Flagstaff, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 13-6-1.

While Prescott had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
