Football Recap: Ticonderoga Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Ticonderoga lost against Peru back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Sentinels took a blow against the Nighthawks, falling 52-6. The Sentinels were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-6.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Wyatt Bridges and Brody Blaise-Smith. Bridges rushed for 83 yards and one TD on only five carries while Blaise-Smith rushed for 67 yards and a pair of scores on only six carries. Chase Carpenter also deserves a mention for his punt return touchdown.

Ticonderoga's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Peru, they pushed their record up to 2-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ticonderoga will take on Beekmantown at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Peru, they will square off against Plattsburgh at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
