Recap: Culver City Centaurs vs. Ayala Bulldogs

The Culver City Centaurs had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 38-28 victory over Ayala on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Culver City.

Culver City's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Myles Singleton, who picked up 145 receiving yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in a rushing scores. Sammy Silvia also helped out by tossing the rock for 302 yards.

When it comes to explaining why Ayala lost, one person who can't be blamed is Marquis Monroe. Despite the final result, he rushed for 105 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 87 receiving yards. Maximus Barroso was another key contributor, throwing for 180 yards and two touchdowns.

Culver City is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Ayala, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.

Culver City will be playing at home against Capistrano Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Capistrano Valley is ranked 75th, while Culver City is ranked 85th). Ayala does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
