Basketball Game Preview: Garces Memorial Rams vs. Frontier Titans

The Garces Memorial Rams are taking a road trip to take on the Frontier Titans at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Garces Memorial took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They managed a 48-43 victory over Stockdale. The win was some much needed relief for the Rams as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Frontier hadn't done well against Liberty recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Frontier snuck past Liberty with a 56-52 victory. The score was all tied up 30-30 at the break, but the Titans were the better team in the second half.

Garces Memorial's record now sits at 7-14. As for Frontier, their record now sits at 9-12.

Garces Memorial came up short against Frontier in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, falling 63-53. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Frontier's Zach Garnett, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 12 boards.
