Baseball Recap: Francis Parker's Losing Streak Snapped at Ten Games

Francis Parker had lost ten games straight , but after bumping their record up to 7-18-1 on Friday that streak is in the rearview. They put the hurt on the Classical Academy Caimans with a sharp 7-1 victory. This was a revenge game for the Lancers: when they faced off against the Caimans on Wednesday, they had to take a 10-1 defeat.

Sam Smith spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up ten Ks. Those ten strikeouts set a new season-high mark for him.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Dante Zambelli, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two RBI and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. Kai Cafferty also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

As for Classical Academy, their record is now 12-16. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

On Classical Academy's side, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Vaughn Rink, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.

As of now, neither Francis Parker nor the Caimans have any future games scheduled.
