Softball Recap: Elmore County Takes a Loss

Elmore County and Beauregard squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Elmore County had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Hornets by a score of 4-3. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Hornets earlier this season, when they won 13-3.

Elmore County saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lalah Culpepper, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Elmore County's defeat dropped their record down to 20-16. As for Beauregard, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 26-12.

Elmore County didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, an 11-1 win against Valley on the 26th. Hopefully Beauregard paid attention to the Panthers' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
