Soccer Game Preview: Conestoga vs. Beatrice

The Conestoga Cougars will head out on the road to face off against the Beatrice Orangemen at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Conestoga fell victim to Concordia and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs. The loss continues a trend for Conestoga in their meetings with Concordia: they've now lost six in a row.

Meanwhile, Beatrice and Auburn combined for 54 shots on goal on Tuesday, which explains the impressive seven total goals scored. The Orangemen put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 5-2 victory. Carlee Kujath was a massive factor in the win as she booted in three goals all by herself.

Beatrice's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Conestoga, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

Conestoga was able to grind out a solid victory over Beatrice when the teams last played back in April of 2025, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
