Volleyball Recap: NorthWood Panthers vs. Penn Kingsmen
NorthWood suffered their biggest loss since October 3, 2024 on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to the Penn Kingsmen. The Panthers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Kingsmen from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.
The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-12, 25-13.
NorthWood's offense was headlined by Ella Branham and Rylee Johnson, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Emily Uhlmann and her 21 assists. Nola Nephew controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
Montana Swartz had a dynamite game For Penn., getting four digs and three aces. That's the most aces Swartz has posted since back in October of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyla Hurley, who had ten digs.
NorthWood's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Penn, their victory was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0.
NorthWood wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-1 win against Mishawaka Marian on the 21st. As for Penn, they have also already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Chesterton on the 21st.
