Football Recap: Bloomsburg Comes Up Short

Bloomsburg dropped to 7-2 on Friday, ending the team's four-game streak of wins on the road. They took a blow against the Southern Columbia Area Tigers, falling 61-0. The Panthers were red-hot offensively heading into the game (they scored no less than 31 points in the three contests prior), but the Tigers' defense proved too tough.

Wyatt Brosious threw for 65 yards on nine of 18 attempts. Jack Katulis was his top target, picking up 46 receiving yards.

As for Southern Columbia Area, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-1. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won six matchups by 20 points or more so far this season.

Southern Columbia Area got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Brayden Andrews out in front who rushed for 136 yards and one TD on only 11 carries. Those 136 rushing yards gave Andrews a new career-high. Another rusher making a difference was Joey Williams, who rushed for 72 yards and one touchdown on only seven carries.
