Basketball Recap: Gibson Southern Beats Castle for Their Third Straight Win

It's playoff time, and Gibson Southern had no trouble coming through when it counted. They skirted past the Castle Knights 39-37. The win was familiar territory for the Titans who have now won three matches in a row.

Gibson Southern found their leader in sophomore Paige Schnaus, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 18 rebounds. Those 18 boards set a new season-high mark for Schnaus.

Gibson Southern smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in five consecutive games.

Gibson Southern's victory bumped their record up to 19-6. As for Castle, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-8.

Gibson Southern wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 47-41 win against Evansville Reitz on the 8th. Castle does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
