Softball Game Preview: Payette Pirates vs. McCall-Donnelly Vandals

The Payette Pirates will take on the McCall-Donnelly Vandals at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Payette is headed into Monday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Wednesday. They lost 28-1 to Cole Valley Christian.

Trinity Voss was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and one stolen base.

The home team had won the previous six meetings between McCall-Donnelly and New Plymouth, and New Plymouth kept the tradition alive. The Vandals came up short against the Pilgrims on Saturday, falling 14-2. The loss continues a trend for the Vandals in their meetings with the Pilgrims: they've now lost seven in a row.

McCall-Donnelly saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Harper Ferguson, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

McCall-Donnelly's defeat dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Payette, their loss dropped their record down to 4-11.
