Weequahic was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after defeating Delaware Valley. The Indians came in at 20 in the state poll after placing at number 27 last week.

Weequahic extended the longest winning streak in Super Essex - Colonial this week by beating the Terriers, 45-0. The victory was the ninth in a row for Brian Johnson-Logan's team.

Joe Slattery threw for 255 yards and 3 touchdowns. He went 17-24 with 2 interceptions.

Slattery put up the best numbers through the air as Cedar Grove beat Butler. Slattery's favorite target this week was David Njoku, who caught 6 passes for 119 yards.

The Panthers' Slattery and Paul Rufo have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-1 quarterback Slattery has thrown for 2,267 yards this season, while Rufo has 44 catches for 928 yards. Alkadair Ports from the Indians leads the league in rushing with 934 yards.

Cedar Grove's Rufo is a few successful plays short of surpassing 1,000 yards receiving this season. He needs only 72 receiving yards against Hasbrouck Heights to hit that benchmark. He has recorded 44 catches for 928 yards this year.

Ports of the Weequahic is only 66 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 53 carries Ports has put up 934 yards this year.

Verona and Cresskill played the most contested game in the league this week, with Verona eventually emerging with a 30-28 victory.
