Basketball Preview: Bullitt Central Cougars vs. Beth Haven Bearcats
The Bullitt Central Cougars will be playing in front of their home fans against the Beth Haven Bearcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Friday, Bullitt Central came up short against the Eagles and fell 76-66.
Meanwhile, Beth Haven put the finishing touches on their tenth blowout victory of the season on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Varsity Opponent 89-42 at home. The win was some much needed relief for Beth Haven as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Beth Haven got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was DaMontez Malone out in front who scored 19 points along with six assists and six steals. Malone is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Levi Langley, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 12 rebounds.
Bullitt Central's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Beth Haven, their win bumped their record up to 15-7.
Bullitt Central strolled past the Bearcats in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 by a score of 81-64. Does Bullitt Central have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bearcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
