Football Game Preview: Franklin Tornadoes vs. Mascoma Royals

The Franklin Tornadoes will head out on the road to take on the Mascoma Royals at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Franklin is looking for their season's first win.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 53-6, which was the final score in Franklin's tilt against Raymond on Saturday.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Mascoma, who bounced back after a loss on the road back in September. They claimed a resounding 40-7 victory over Winnisquam. The Royals might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by 26 points or more this season.

Mascoma pushed their record up to 3-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 8.6 points on average over those games. As for Franklin, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.

Franklin ended up a good deal behind Mascoma in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, losing 28-14. Can the Tornadoes avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
