Basketball Recap: Bogan Comes Up Short

Bogan lost against Rich Township back in November of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bengals were beaten by the Raptors 79-51. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Bengals have suffered since January 19th.

Leading Rich Township to victory were Kavon Ammons and Jeremiah Weatherford. Ammons went 9-for-16 en route to 22 points and six steals, while Weatherford shot 86% from the field to rack up 14 points in addition to five rebounds and five steals. Those five boards gave Weatherford a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kendall Cooper, who went 5-for-8 on his way to 11 points.

Having lost for the first time this season, Bogan fell to 2-1. As for Rich Township, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Bogan and Rich Township will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Bengals are set to face off against their familiar foe Christian Fenger Academy at 4:55 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Rich Township will challenge rival Thornton at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
